Alternatively head for the coast and the pretty towns of Cromer and Sheringham, or for quieter beaches visit the villages of Walcot and Sea Palling. Enjoy a quiet walk along Weavers Way or many of the other country walks in the area and take in some of the breath taking scenery that Norfolk has to offer.
About Stalham and the local area:
Stalham is a small market town just off the A149 midway between Norwich and Gt Yarmouth. The local market is held on a Tuesday on the car park at the top of the high street,and the Town Hall usually hosts an indoor market or a charity event. In the high street are a range of shops including a Chemist two Banks,Doctors surgery and Dental surgery. Only 10mins walk away is Stalham Staithe and the river Ant. Boat hire is available from the Boat Yards surrounding the Staithe or pay a visit to the Museum of the Broads.
A local Bus service operates from Stalham to Norwich via Wroxham or to Gt Yarmouth. Wroxham is another busy riverside town very popular with visitors who enjoy the Broads. Norwich is a lovely city with a vast range of stores and places of historical interest. Gt Yarmouth is a seaside town with funfairs beaches and a busy tourist trade,with histrolical places to visit too.
The seaside town of Sheringham hosts the North Norfolk Railway which will take you on a nostalgic trip up the North Norfolk coast. Or visit the seaside town of Cromer famous for its End of Pier Shows and Carnival. There are many other quieter beaches along the coast some only 10 mins drive from the Hotel. For lovers of nature there are beautiful reserves and walks around this area.
