Our Facilities
The Kingfisher Hotel is open to residents and non-residents. In the bar we have seating for approx 38.
We serve a wide range of beverages and real ales also a selection of good quality wines by the bottle and a range of wines by the glass.
Our full menu is available in the bar served from 12-2pm and 7-9pm daily.
Bar opening times are 11am-3pm 6-11pm Mon-Sat and 12-3pm 6-10¬30pm Sundays.
Dogs are welcome in the bar area but must be kept under control. Our non-smoking restuarant has seating for approx 42. Meals are served 12-2pm and 7-9pm daily. All our meals are cooked to order using fresh and local produce by our three chefs.
Our menu includes a selection of starters main courses and desserts with sections of fish,meat,salads,vegetarian and steaks. Also available is a selection of sandwiches baguettes and a small eaters menu.
All our main meals are served with a selection of vegetables new potatoes,saute or french fries or salad. A chefs specials menu is also available and on Sundays we serve a tradional Sunday lunch as well as our normal menus. Children are very welcome and high chairs can be provided.
We are open over the Christmas holidays for accomadation and also for Christmas Day Lunch. Our Christmas Day Lunch is on a bookings only basis and it is advisable to book early as we are normally fully booked by the end of November The Christmas Day menu is available from late August at reception
During the year we try to take part in local events and also host our own charity events which are enjoyed by our local customers and vistors.
We pride ourselves on our staff who are friendly and helpful. This generates a warm and friendly atmosphere. Most of staff have worked in the Hotel for a number of years. The Hotel is set back from the main high street with its own private car park.
All our eight en-suite letting rooms are equipped with T.V, tea and coffee making facilities and telephone. The rooms have all been recently refurbished and are decorated to a high stanard. Hair driers,iron and ironing board are available on request. All rooms are serviced daily and fresh towels are provided. Accomadation is on the first floor with access by stairs. On the first floor we also have a residents lounge.
Breakfast is served daily from 7am - 9am and includes fruit juice, cereals cooked Breakfast,Toast with Jam and Marmalade and Tea or Coffee. We hope to make your stay with us as pleasant as possible.
